Arriving in Hamburg, there’s still a lot to do before the journey begins. I’m trying to see social media not as an enemy but as a tool and I am diving into it hard before the trip.
I’ve just joined TikTok (an experiment!), Bluesky (for reasons!), and have started using YouTube Shorts. Between a meeting with my label and preparing for the journey, there’s little time for music, songwriting, rehearsing, or taking a breath. The last few weeks haven’t been much different.
I find my job increasingly bureaucracy-heavy (taxes, bookings, GEMA, KSK, and even more social media). Better structures would help for sure, but that’s hard to manage right before the road trip.
In the end, there’s only time for a short set in Hamburg’s Altona pedestrian zone before the rain forces me to stop.
